Giving A New Meaning to “HAC JOB”

Automobiles are in HAC’s blood. From founder, Michael Hornback, J.D.,’s great grandfather, Archibald “Archie” Hornback, who was awarded a U.S. Patent for the modern day spark plug in 1939 (US2170243A), to his father who was a hotrodder in the 1960s before enlisting as an Army Reservist and working as a mechanic for the Department of the Army; Michael developed a passion for high performance vehicles at a very early age.

Since 2004, HAC has been responsible for tuning over 4,000 vehicles at Straighline Performance in New Lenox, Illinois.

HAC specializes in GM’s LS and “NEW” LT series small block V8’s using HPTuners, but has extensive experience with SCT, DiabloSport, BigStuff3, Holley EFI, and FAST XFI. Over the past 16 years, HAC has honed its skills and further developed its theory of “tuning” with the goal of taming some of the wildest combinations imaginable.
